January 4 :: a guiding word for the new year

One Little Word ~ an intention for the new year

In this workshop, girls will have the opportunity to reflect upon their lives and what they would like to manifest in 2014. We will guide them in the process of choosing a word that inspires, encourages, and motivates them. They will be asked to reflect upon many aspects of their lives ~ friends, family, school, community and activities. The word that they choose, the one that speaks most to them, will be used to create a beautiful work of art ~ a handmade BOOKLET to serve as a visual reminder as they explore life in the new year. It is a colorful, artistic take on the Vision Board concept.

The girls will also use their Guiding Word to create a lovely hand-stamped silver necklace and adorn it with heartfelt charms to carry them through the year. When they wear it around their necks and close to their hearts, it is an invitation for their fingers to find their way to it…and feeling the letters, the word, will remind them of their personalized intention.

Come join us in this fun-filled, expressive workshop and unleash the possibilities for 2014. The day will be filled with lots of self-exploration, creative arts, bookmaking skills and of course, at the heart of it all…mindfulness, meditation, and yoga.
